Who doesn’t want to age better and look better? I certainly do especially as my birthday is fast approaching! Needless to say I couldn’t refuse an invitation with the promise to help my aging process and progress 🙂
I was one of the very few and select invited writers to indulge in the newest program developed by the Victoria-Jungfrau hotel and Spa! No one else before our small group had been there since the re-launch.
Prior to that day, I really didn’t know much about it except for the obvious (i.e location, and spa day). I was just told to meet up at 8am in front of the Schweizerhof Hotel in Zurich and be ready for a prompt pick-up. The day was gloomy and rainy – perfect for an indoor experience with my new playmates!
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Mrs. Yasmin Cachemaille Grimm, General Manager of Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & SPA and Mr. Hans-Peter Veit, Director of SPA Nescens. They both welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home. They encouraged us to let their team spoil us and familiarize ourselves first hand with the new Nescens Better Aging program.

Therefore it is crucial to identify and improve the things that can accelerate aging (weight, stress, fatigue) – that is what the Nescens program promises to do. Every program begins with an initial consultation with a medical doctor, an Osteopath, a Nutritionist and a Sport Therapist who will upon their findings, tailor-make a program suited for their clients’ needs and objectives.
Best of all, while you’re getting pampered and rejuvenated, your family can either do the same or just rejoice in the many activities that Interlaken has to offer. This experience doesn’t need to be a lonely and austere one. On the contrary, the more fun you have the faster and positive the results will be.
MY EXPERIENCE:
FACIAL/SPA:
Pure bliss, relaxation and awe! I cannot think of any other words to describe my sentiments about not only the space but also the treatment I received. The decor is a mix of retro and antique while super modern (if it makes sense at all!). The pool opens to an outdoors whirlpool enveloped in the surrounding nature. Just beautiful.
The facial I received was very pleasant and relaxing. Unfortunately I got a slight reaction to one of the products used but these things can happen. My favorite parts were the head massage and my energy once I was done.
LUNCH AT LA TERRASSE:
Before delving into the chore of the subject, I have to mention the design of La Terrasse – distinct and warm with a keen attention to details. The Palm trees were my absolute favorite!
As for the food, the chef and medical team work closely together to create delicious, beautiful and healthy meals, always in the spirit of “Better Aging”. Our lunch was not only tailored-made to meet each of our dietary restrictions but it also looked and tasted amazing – it is not always easy to ally satiation and satisfaction, but in this case it worked.
