We are all so used to big names like Isabel Marant, Rick Owens or Saint Laurent that we forget to pay closer attention to newer designers. Given time, a little push and lots of luck, these artists can also become household names.
And one of them is Julia Winkler, a Zurich-born Designer! I was just recently introduced to studiowinkler and I must say that there are very few pieces from the fall/winter collection that I didn’t like. I would definitely wear some of them! I truly appreciate her attention to detail as well as her approach to design which is quite contemporary and abstract.
The styles inspired me to make a short mood video to capture some of her Must Haves for fall / winter 15/16. I love the play with forms and shapes, volumes and details. She uses a lot of high-quality fabrics, such as silk, silk-cotton blend, acetate and virgin-wool-elastane blend, all ideal for winter.
