This latest edition of Mode Suisse took place at the newly renovated Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich. Lucky for them they got to benefit from the current exhibition Oïphorie by atelier oï.
Since their previous concept garnered positive feedback, they chose to repeat it with three shows at different times and showroom presentations where the designers could directly connect with their audience and hopefully get new customers.
Designers Jacqueline Loekito and Nina Yuun made their debut at this year’s event. Everyone was eager to see what Vanessa Schindler, winner of the Hyères Festival, YVY, Hollywood’s go-to with her Swarovski embellished leather accessories, avant-garde eyewear label SOL SOL ITO and Julia Seemann came up with this season.
Luxury printed fabrics from Mourjjan and Julia Heuer were a big hit. And HGK FHNW Basel Institut Mode-Design’s Janine Reitmann, Laura Müller, Jana Colic, Stefanie Herbstrith and Lisa Preissle, as well as HEAD – Geneve’s Adeline Rappaz and Miguel Mendes Salvador were chosen to present their school’s most exciting new work.
If you are in Zürich and didn’t get a chance to go to the fashion show this past Monday, some of the key pieces will still be featured until September 8th at enSoie’ boutique at Strehlgasse 26, Zurich.
