The Locarno Film Festival officially launched on August 4th with the screening of Independance Day starring Bill Pullman. And to honor this special day, Moët & Chandon, the official sponsor, threw a memorable party. The location, Villa San Quirico was breath-taking and the set up impressive. Every detail was thought of to make it a fun night – from the music, the lighting, food and of course to the performers!
Since its beginning, 68 years ago, the Festival del film Locarno has asserted itself as a major festival and every August, Locarno becomes the world capital of auteur cinema. Thousands of film fans and industry professionals come together to rejoice in their shared passion of cinema.
I got to meet Bill Pullman and his lovely wife Tamara Hurwitz away from the cameras. It was their first time in Switzerland and they seemed to really enjoy it. They both were easy-going, fun and real, which I really appreciated it. Coming from LA, I got to meet a lot of celebrities and not all of them are open or nice!
