Has been one year already since my interview with Theater Spektakel‘s Artistic Director Sandro Lunin? Wow, time just flies!
The festival’s reputation expands well beyond the boundaries of Switzerland. It actually plays along the big guns and is reputed for its outstanding programming and unique feel of the location. Since its debut in 1980, it has attracted both renowned and upcoming theatre and dance companies worldwide.

Virtual Reality Cinema has come to Zurich for the first time! We will get to experience movies in a completely new and powerful way, in different and stylish environments. In order to stay true to the Pop-Up concept and the mystery of the VR cinema experience, the exact place of the popup cinema is communicated 24h prior to the event via email.
You can select from a variety of movies individually or in groups at the place of the cinema. You can pick from the following themes:
- Inspirational: Visions you’ve never experienced before in such a way.
- Horror: You don’t just watch a movie in VR, you’re part of it.
- Documentary: Only with VR you comprehend the amplitude of an armed conflict and its devastation, as if you were standing right in front of it
- Fun: Animated movies for young and old – find yourself in a world of fairytales.
